The Floristry Design Studio opened in November 2009 and has been created to provide a real working environment for its students.
The College has been extremely fortunate in securing the tutoring services of Hazel Woodham who has won 17 gold medals as part of team South Africa and gold for St Lucia at the annual Chelsea Flower.
Students at the College run a modern, well-stocked floristry shop, where students and staff can purchase products off the shelf, or place orders for next-day collection.
A small selection of cut flowers and plants are also available to purchase. Throughout the year students produce flower arrangements created for a variety of celebrations including Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Birthdays, Anniversaries and many more...
The College offers a number of Floristry courses; including one-day workshops and evening classes over several weeks. Floristry students can learn a range of skills including the following:
• Construction of a wide range of practical designs
• Gaining knowledge of plants and cut flowers
• Customer service skills
• Interior floral design
• Display, exhibition and competition designs
The Floristry Design Studio is located by the Plaza area of the College and is open during term-time only, please call to discuss courses or place an order on 01252 407440. The Floristry Design Studio only accepts cash or cheques.
